Since october 2018, we have rated as inadequate 14 independent mental health hospitals that admit people with a learning disability and or autism, and put them into special measures. this is an unacceptable situation. Overall the quality of care has improved with 80% of adult social care services rated as good, up from 79% in 2017 18. compared with last year, a further 282 services are providing care that is rated as outstanding, putting the total at 4%.
