Traverse Landscape Architects Cyrui Traverse discovers a unique garden concept within a small space. our client requested a conceptual visualization of a healing garden where patients and their families would have a moment to reflect and rest outside of the hospital walls. with limited space on the property, traverse found a south facing linear space with mature trees. The children's hospital and associated healing garden and play space was built in 1994. the garden provides patients and their families with a place for play, rest and reflection. in 2020, this well loved garden was updated with a new play area, basketball hoop, flexible seating, and a refreshed garden trellis, amphitheater and landscape.
