Financial planning, accountability, and investment strategy are carried out by the board’s investment committee and the finance and audit committee. the board also forms other committees as required to assist it in performing its duties.

Home Pi Annual Report Assists the board of directors with oversight of perimeter’s long term sustainability and stability of finances. investment committee this oversight committee follows a board approved investment policy of guidelines, standards, and procedures. By balancing risk and returns, the investment committee ensures that the endowment can continue to support ’perimeter’s activities, even as external funding pressures intensify. The finance and audit committee is responsible for overseeing perimeter management’s financial planning, reporting and policies, allocation of resources, budget implementation, annual financial statements, and overall risk management, as well all external audits. Perimeter institute is an independent, not for profit, charitable corporation governed by a volunteer board of directors drawn from the private sector and academic community. the board is the final authority on all matters related to the general structure and development of the institute.

Perimeter institute is an independent, not for profit, charitable corporation governed by a volunteer board of directors drawn from the private sector and academic community. the board is the final authority on all matters related to the general structure and development of the institute. Our responsibility is to express an opinion on whether the summary financial statements are a fair summary of the audited financial statements based on our procedures, which were conducted in accordance with canadian auditing standard (cas) 810, engagements to report on summary financial statements. He is the founding vice chair emeritus of the perimeter institute board of directors. in addition to his role as vice chair of the board, mr. fiorenza was also a member of both the finance and the investment committees. Perimeter’s financial position remains strong and resilient. under the guidance of the investment committee, funds remain invested in accordance with board approved investment policies and procedures. a fairly stable economic environment resulted in a positive annual return of 7 percent. The ssf represents a new funding mechanism for perimeter institute, but the continuation of a long history of partnership between the institute and the government of canada. the new funding will extend from 2024 through 2029, following the completion of perimeter’s current funding agreement.
