January 2020 Newsletter District 4 Seattle City Council Blog Although february is a short month, it was very busy and exciting for our team, both at city hall, and in district 4! this marks our first 90 days in office. we have been continually working hard to represent you and all 20 neighborhoods of our district. Council work to date call for and creation of the select committee on federal administration and policy changes, dedicated to identifying strong local responses to federal changes that may threaten city of seattle programs and funding. This newsletter also discusses our upcoming district 4 budget town hall on october 8 and transportation issues such as the west seattle bridge, sdot’s new scooter program, and my upcoming audit of all seattle bridges. Six of the seven new and returning councilmembers will haven taken the oath of office by monday, while district 3’s kshama sawant will take hers at an evening ceremony next monday, jan. 13.
