The $29 million bond was defeated 1,652 to 1,138 and the recreation facilities were rejected by voters 1,795 to 989. a leadership team was formed in 2013 to re evaluate annandale’s outdoor recreation needs. a needs analysis was completed in june 2013 and presented to the school board and the city council. The annandale city council planned to discuss a park in southbrook and a possible tax abatement for a new business at its regular meeting on monday, april 1. the meeting took place after the advocate’s deadline.
